Bullies are everywhere. I’m attacked from all sides. Those birds have the gull to try to take my food. This isn’t the first time I was bullied to give them my food. What is it with me, am I an easy prey?

Focusing on the Lady in Blue, this candid photograph was shot through an opening in the woodpile.
Snow does not stop her from hanging out laundry. The smell of fresh wintry clothes and sheets overpowers the snow and cold. Although house dryers are today’s means of drying clothes, it still feels good to go back in time.
This is the day of the snow.
This is the second day after the snow.
This is a story about three British brothers of His majesty’s navy named Boney, Bones and Boner. Several hundred years ago they were chained and shackled in an underground dungeon in the very pits of the Capitol of Williamsburg. They were accused of witchery. Instead of death by fire, they were to rot to death. At the time of their sentence, an old haggard woman with a long chin, warts on her nose and hair like straw placed a curse on them. The curse was for them to live forever without skin, mind, heart and spirit. It is year 2016. The Skeleton brothers have resurrected from the pits of the underground.
Boner stands with telescope in hand over-looking the area as Bones lowers Boney to the ground. Boney hollers to Bones “Don’t let go of that rope or my bones will break.”
Once on the ground their bones rattled as they ran to the fence. Swiftly they climbed over the gate. Boner yells, “We are free at last.”
The three of them stopped for a break. Bones says,” my joints ache, it must be arthritis.” “It is old age, here eat an apple” said Boney.
Boner points to a stage coach. “Let’s try to get a ride to Yorktown, maybe we can find our old sailing vessel.”
Happy Halloween!!!!!
I am at my local coffee shop reading my i-pad eating a bagel and sipping coffee. I looked up and from the position of my table, I see a pair of long nude legs.
One leg crossed over her other leg her feet wore black patent stiletto heels. One foot makes a slow circular motion as to beckon me to come closer. Her suntanned legs looked like a fine polished piece of furniture.
Thoughtfully, I picked up my empty cup, paper napkins and went toward the trash receptacle. As I came closer to her I thought I’d compliment her and say you have nice legs. Instead I asked, “ is this where I put my tray”? With a hitch hikers wave her thumb pointed to the rectangular sign that read “Thank You”. Hmmm! I wonder if she read my thoughts or pointed for me to empty my trash.
Curve
A massive brick entrance is the keystone for this three story black mirror glass front. The reflections from the windows show an eerie look of twisted, bent and curved architectural structure and street lights in a grotesque position. The real true curves are in the trees that nature naturally displays.

Have you walked alone through the woods in the early dawn? Birds chirping and squirrels skittering over the fallen leaves. A light cloudy fog raises from the heat of nature’s compost.
Suddenly, everything is quiet. The hairs on the back of your neck stand straight. You quickly look right and left just knowing someone is watching. The pace quickens, the heart beats faster.
I am not a believer in re-incarnation. I took a few photos of what appears like a face protruding from tree trunks. I wonder if these faces are of people that died and were given another life within a tree. When you walk through the woods, you never know what watches over you.
Food for thought!! Your comments are always welcomed
I have a great admiration for nature as expressed below with the common house sparrow.
This House Sparrow preferred to nest in a natural site such as this hole within the dead tree in lieu of a manmade structure such as eaves or walls of buildings, street lights, and nest boxes. The tree is rooted on a sandy beach with tidal salt water. Although the sparrows are not fish eaters, they find plenty of insects in the area.
I would visit this sparrow and its family just about every day and take a series of photos. This day I noticed the junvenile made its maiden flight out of its nest to perch on a nearby beach shrub. It wasn’t a graceful landing but it was able to cling to a twig. I could hear its squeak and see its eyes searching for its Mother.
Not far from the juvenile the mother watched protectively, and to assure the young juvenile it would sing encouraging chirps to let it know she was nearby. She seemed to say I fed you and gave you sheleter, now it is your time to learn to fend for yourself. I will teach you to hunt for food and be aware of the dangers of life. Through time you will go, bring life and teach your young.
At times we overlook these little birds in admiration of the scenery. We hear their joyful singing but miss seeing them due to the blend of colors that surround these small birds.
I hope this brings excitement, joy and happiness. Comments are encouraged

Dance
This Wood Thrush not only sings but dances; He wants to impress his mate who at this moment is flying away. It was fun to photograph this bird as it did its mating dance and call. He didn’t give up he flew after her.
