A Jubilant Moment

Uncategorized

Today my morning began early at the break of dawn.  With my camera slung over my shoulder, I walked into a gated grave yard community.

For peace of mind and tranquility, a walk through a cemetery is my start for the day.  I feel rejuvenated with my morning talk with God.

The light and joy of Mother nature comes through with birds chirping songs of reveille.  A red fox stops no more than 20 feet in front of me and stares at me; I stop, my heart beats faster not knowing what this little creature is going to do.   Finally, he makes the first move and darts into the woods.  At that moment I didn’t think of taking a picture.   In this grave yard, there are a few monuments scattered throughout the cemetery.  A statue of Jesus with a few of his disciples gave me great joy as the early morning rays of sun beamed down on this particular setting.  I wonder what lesson Jesus is telling them?  What a jubilant occasion it was to capture this moment.  “Joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5)

One Word Photo Challenge: Bokeh

This is a photo I took for my submission to the challenge:  Bokeh.  I hope this meets the criteria.  It is an Eastern Bluebird.  I photograhed it as it peeked through a piece of lattice.  I got lucky with this shot that both the background and foreground is out of focus.  With small birds they don’t pose long enough for me to adjust the settings.

Out on a Limb

Help

Out on a limb or holding onto the twigs of a limb for dear life, this squirrel is some 40 feet above the ground. His only vision is to chew on the new budding twig of the Spring season.

Spread eagle or I should say spread squirrel clutches onto every branch within its reach.  Even the fresh green twig he is chewing.  After he finished, he did squirm for a way out. I think if it could cry out he’d say “Help me,  Help me.  I can’t let go or I will fall.

The below photo is his friend on another tree sits securely as it chews on a small pine cone.  He looks at him and thinks no way will I risk my life.  He’s on his own.
